Synopsis

W. Ashley Smith, Jr. (ASJR) is an aviation industry leader and advocate with over 40 years of experience in senior operations and maintenance leadership roles with Part 91, 121, and 135 airlines. He is the founder/owner of Part 135 and Part 145 firms, and has been a principal in over a dozen other successful charter, maintenance, and other aviation-related companies. Smith is widely considered an expert in both the Hawker and Learjet airframes as both an ATP and A&P mechanic.

He has helped launch many of the most recognizable fixed-wing air transport programs in the US and internationally, and worked with numerous leading local, state, federal, and international government agencies, including the U.S. Department of Defense, NASA, USTRANSCOM, Department of Justice, U.S. Marshals Service, and Deparment of Health and Human Services.

Mr. Smith is a veteran of the commercial and business aviation sectors who works with many commercial and government agency boards to advance aviation safety, pilot training, and operational standards. Ashley is a proud recipient of many industry, partner, and trade group awards, including:
